Programming
Established in 2024, our annual Femtorship Program provides an opportunity for girls ages 14 to 17 to build confidence and leadership skills.
Our Why
Sport has so much to teach us about resilience, teamwork, confidence, communication, and leadership, to name just a few.
Playing sports in childhood and adolescence can set us up for lifelong success. One example: a recent study by EY shows that 94% of women in C-suite positions have played sports.
Unfortunately, research also shows that although a similar number of boys and girls start out in sport, by age 14, girls drop out of sport at two times the rate of boys. We’re here to change that.
Program Overview
The Femtorship Program (that’s mentorship, with a girl-powered twist!) is built on 3 pillars:
Lead Self
Lead Others
Lead Change
The program challenges girls to dream big, connect to their purpose, and gain the confidence to chart their futures.
“The impact that this experience has had on me is profound. It has helped me hone my leadership abilities, allowing me to become a better version of myself. Seeing the immediate impact we had on the young girls who came to our event is something I am very proud of.”
— Dakota Beckett
